ChESS 2009

"Every PAWN is potential QUEEN."

The Chemical Engineering Seminar Series (ChESS) 2009 kicked off yesterday at the College of Engineering theater. ChESS is a four-part seminar series sponsored by the Engineering Student Council's (ESC) Chemical Engineering Representatives and the Chemical Engineering Students' Initiative (ChESI). There will be one seminar per week for the whole month of September, each covering different topics about Chemical Engineering and related sciences, which include Food and Biochemistry, Energy and Environment, and Polymer Technology.

Seminar 1 was entitled, "ChE Redefined" which focused on the undergraduate level especially the curriculum offered by the Chemical Engineering Department. Dr. Analiza P. Rollon (chairperson, UP Diliman Chemical Engineering Department) and Ms. Emmie Minguez (from Chevron Geothermal Philippines) were the speakers.
